Magical Korean Toilet Paper

South Korea is possible the strangest form of normality i am yet to witness, how everything can be so similar yet a world apart is beyond me. In my first blog i really want to show you these things that have done everything to make me scratch my head to smile and tell you a little bit about the few days I've spent here.

When you arrive Mr Baker will meet you...the woman on telephone informed me...Mr Baker? Sounded mysterious. As i came through the airport terminal looking for my name emblazed on a card like you see in the movies i was greeted by one of the schools principals and taken back to my flat. My flat is nice, for a studio it's spacious and the windows are massive and on the horizon i can see sky scrapers; the lights on them make me think of Christmas trees. The bathroom is very different from the UK. For a start there isn't a conventional shower and instead you are greeted with a shower head and i believe this is called a wet room, you know, because it gets very wet in there :D The best thing about carelessly splashing about is being able to carelessly splash about without - "Who got water on the bathroom floor?" It kicks ass. But i can here the logical among you saying what about the toilet roll? No one wants a soggy toilet roll, least of all me. Yet somehow Korean toilet roll doesn't get soggy part of it is covered by the a metal guard and the other part is cover by magic. Seriously, it doesn't get wet. Korea has magical toilet paper. Don't believe me? Come see for yourself :D

It's the final countdown....

Before i sign off i have to tell you about a little more Korean magic. The road crossings here have count down how long you've got to cross the road. I love this and wonder if you don't make if the cars will drive on regardless.....

I'm going now. Until next time children!!
